  1. Sam Harris is holding a competition on his website for the best essay in argument against The Moral Landscape. I’m an avid Harris fan, never doubt a word he says, but your essay “The Paragraph I Wish Sam Harris Would Write” is one I would consider to be an extremely good candidate. Take a look at the competition, there’s money to be won regardless of whether he agrees with the essay as long as it’s better than everyone else’s.

Enjoying your humanism blogs, did you know that Steven Pinker tweeted your “10 Sublime Wonders of Science“? Great stuff, look forward to seeing more.

  2. Is procreation the only purpose of the human species?
On the purpose and the meaning of life for us as a a species and as an individual. Pleasure purpose and empathy with ourselves, the world and others. The gift we leave is that of continuity, and appearing unlimited possibility. For example, when music is created with lyrics, are the lyrics the song, or the music and the lyrics? Are the lyrics simply inviting us in the song, the wave to the wings, so we can move forward, and is the song not eternal after we leave. Is that not a contribution to to the world. The song is the lyrics and the music for we as individuals are an instrument too and instrumental waves ( ie. guitar, and voice) combine and so each song sung is always different even though it may be the same. This song connects in the moment to others and so the music brings us to oursekves and to others simultaneously, and into the ocean of life, now and forever. And that is why .Thank you for your article. Bluesea xoxo

  4. Some people wrote that music is the paint of the Soul, but some Humans do not believe in soul, music could be harmonic sound waves, but with a metric in amplitude and phase (rhythm), if you introduce a music tone that is out of tone and phase, your ears can be terrible not pleased, no matter if hip hop or reggae-ton composers sell millions of CD you can call it music, more often that kind of music reflects the paint of their soul and their lyrics reflect the low evolution level of their minds, although his fame and fortune indicate a different picture with colors…
